The Hemstitching was made using a very old technique at a Russian mill that has been handcrafting Hemstitch on linen since the 19th century.
Because 19th century was” dry cleaning” free, people had to wash their linens and this type of hemstitching was developed so the articles don’t lose their shapes and form after the wash.
Today, you can wash your napkins in your washing machine and also not worry about them getting ruined in the process.
