Pattern Review: An Accessorised Bruna Dress in Asphalt Linen
A shirt dress is a style that looks beautiful on any figure. Wear it with comfortable shoes and get ready for the weekend. Under the blazer and get a set for the office. Bright sandals and accessories for a night look. Sneakers- and you’re ready for a walk with your kids. When I saw the new pattern of Bruna shirt dress on the fabrics-store.com, I decided that I should have one in my wardrobe. This loose-fitting dress with side pockets and a fitted stand-up collar is perfect for everyday wear.
And as a mother, it is important to me that the clothes are comfortable to wear, so that I can move freely and be a “lifesaver” for my children every second! I didn’t make any changes to the pattern and used size 6. Even a beginner can easily sew this dress. If you have difficulties in sewing with a stand-up collar or something else, then detailed instructions in a beautiful booklet will help you, every step is described in detail there.
I chose Asphalt color in medium weight, this is my favorite shade of gray color.
I thought for a long time which buttons to use and chose seashell buttons of light color and it looks very beautiful! In addition, I made a shirt in a light color, slightly shortening the sleeve and this is very convenient, since in our southern state there are many warm days a year and mercilessly hot summers. I can wear this shirt with both trousers (shorts) and a skirt. I wanted to make an additional tie belt for the dress, so I did this at the end, I like that the belt is detachable, so you don’t need to wear it, and I really like that the dress looks loose and a little more voluminous at the waist.
I really like my finished version of this dress, and I can’t wait to sew another one – I think there are so many little changes you could make to make the dress your own, and I like it in the pattern.
