Warlene Rene Styling Tips: BLEACHED Heavyweight Linen Blouse Three Ways
Next to blazers, blouses are my absolute favorite to wear. I enjoy making them the most. I especially love draping sleeves. I’m all about fit and balance when getting dressed.
When I’m headed to my studio, I’m usually dressed like this. An oversized blouse, that is balanced with a fitted waist. In this case, I chose a linen skirt. This look is appropriate for almost any professional setting or meeting. If I want to add some more fun to it I’ll add accessories as I did here. Accessorizing is a good trick to bring balance and attention to detail. If I add bangles, your eyes are drawn to my sleeves, same as a necklace draws the eyes to the neckline. Your pieces can be intentional.
For days I want to go a little easier, I pair up this blouse with shorts. I’m very much a sucker for tall boots, so adding them along! However, this would also look amazing with loafers or ankle boots.
Here I was playing with the idea of a wide brim fedora and fanny pack. I love western style accents. The main thing with pieces with volume is making sure everything else added is a smaller statement.
