Warlene Rene Styling Tips: ENGLISH ROSE Linen Convertible Dress Five Ways
Continuing with our styling series, next I designed this vibrant, convertible dress with the intent to play with it all spring and summer. I appreciate pieces that go the extra mile and this dress is such a bold statement that can be played up or down. I see this at everything from weddings to graduations depending on how you style it. Here I am sharing why, how, and the way it’s done in 5 different ways. For this project, I chose to use FS ENGLISH ROSE Medium Weight 100% Linen.
Street chic
With a bold bag and bulky sneakers I’m owning the street. I also love this look because it’s so fun relaxed and care free. This silhouette is flattering for all body types and very comfortable. The bag is the perfect accent and touch and the sneakers tones down what would have otherwise been a very dressy look.
Dressed up Occasion
When you just need that perfect statement dress, all that’s needed here is to add a block heel ankle boot and the perfect accessories. I layered some fun jewels and added a pop of color with a cute beaded bag. This convertible dress doesn’t need much addition as it’s fun already.
Vacation style
Here the only thing done differently is a change in the type of accessories and shoes I chose to wear. For that vacation vibe, I added a weaved bag and tied a printed silk scarf over my hair.
Casual Look
The top of this dress layered as a top over a button-down shirt is a perfect casual look that I can go to meetings in. Not too much accessorizing is needed here as the look stands on its own. This look can work for taller to medium height frames. For petite frames, I recommend a button-down shirt that doesn’t go past the hip, as the layers may be too much for your petite frame.
Fun In The City
This is a casual yet interesting way to play with texture and layering. The top paired with this high waist leather snake print skirt is so fun. This is a look that will work with most body types because you have the blouse that drapes nicely over the midi skirt for balance. The shoe options are limitless. A heel, boots, sandals, or even sneakers will compliment this look.
