I am crazy for a good dress. Especially one with buttons going down along the front. The Loren pattern is going to be a fave in my closet. When I received it the first thing I did was pull out all my vintage buttons to put against the beautiful Firecracker Red linen I got.
This dress is a perfect winter piece with all the holidays around the corner and it’s vibrancy can work anywhere really. I am excited to wear it around this holiday season.

What I did to prepare my project was a few things. I made two adjustments to the pattern. I added 5’ to the dress front and back hem length. I wanted it to be maxi. I added 4’ to the sleeve length so it could be a long sleeve.

The pattern was smooth assembly and sewing. I actually had fun putting it together, I couldn’t believe how smooth the process was. The different ways the dress is pictured here is the reason why I love it so much. The buttons are a mix of rustic and glam which completed this look.

Thanks for this review. I purchased this pattern and am looking forward to making a dress. I am a little short waisted and also don’t like really plunging necklines. What would be the easiest way to alter the neckline to keep it a little higher without messing up the design? Any ideas?

Your dress looks beautiful on you. I am in the process of making myself a dress using the Loren pattern. Mine is midweight black linen. I’m using the short sleeved version, and lengthening both the sleeves and hem. I’m adding a narrow band at the bottom of the sleeves.
